Over the past four years, we partnered with a mid-sized distributor (a division of a large, privately owned family distribution giant) with a team of over 60 sales professionals nationwide and about 25 sales support team members to optimize their field sales strategies.
We successfully incorporated the two solutions mentioned above, in addition to a cutting-edge remote and mobile quoting and order entry system. This allowed them to enhance and extend their existing distribution solution without any modifications to the legacy environment.
Enhancements have been made to the real-time inventory lookup screens, which now feature a convenient shopping cart capability. This advancement allows sales professionals to effortlessly add items to the cart during customer conversations about product availability. The shopping cart can be efficiently converted into a quote for formatting, printing, and emailing to clients, or directly into a sales order that seamlessly integrates with the legacy system for processing.
Throughout the development phase, we devised a system to monitor and coordinate order discussions between sales representatives, managers, support personnel, and senior management. This improvement streamlined procedures, minimized errors, and prevented the oversight of critical emails, texts, and calls.
